We are actively working on plans for the next Food Allergy Bloggers Conference, and we think you will be excited by what’s in store for 2015!
#FABlogCon 2015 will be held November 13-15, in Denver Colorado. Registration details, Eventbright ticket sales and Sponsorship information will be released in the next few weeks. The event will be held at the Denver Renaissance Hotel, (near the old Stapleton Airport)-
Based on the survey results you filled out after the 2014 event, and in consideration of the 2013 results as well, the 2015 conference will be moving to a new city, and a SMOKE FREEhotel! We have taken into consideration aspects from our event in Vegas that made the conference easy for our guests and our sponsors. We know that safe food is imperative, but we also need to accommodate attendees with asthma, allergic rhinitis, and other related issues. Plans will be put in place to make sure that we accommodate everyone. The Denver Renaissance will be offering us comparable block room rates, and they offer complimentary shuttle to and from the Denver International Airport (or it’s only a $35 cab fare).
We fully realize the importance of getting the food “right” (SAFE!) – so with that in mind we will be hiring Chef Keith Norman to help with both the menu creation as well as coming to the new site to do staff training prior to the 2015 conference date; to ensure the safety of our guests and their dietary restrictions. The Denver Renaissance is looking forward to partnering and eager to host our event! We are so excited to be bringing our Food Allergy Bloggers Conference to the Mile High City!
With school around the corner, we wanted to share video from last year’s Food Allergy Bloggers Conference about food allergies in the educational setting! Dr. Mike Pistiner of Allergy Home and Lynda Mitchell from Kids with Food Allergies were so generous with their support and time at the 2013 Food Allergy Bloggers Conference across multiple sessions. The following session was titled “Education.” There were many surreal moments last year that made us proud of the event we had worked so hard to bring together and hearing these wonderful advocates present was certainly a highlight.

We hope you enjoy – the “disease management” track (as we call it) is for everyone, not just bloggers! Be sure to check out this year’s schedule for more and join us in Las Vegas September 26-28 for the 2014 Food Allergy Bloggers Conference.
Chef Keith Norman of the South Point Hotel did an interview for KTNV Las Vegas Morning Blend TODAY at 9:45 a.m. South Point Hotels Chef Keith talked about the importance of food allergen safety inside the hotel restaurants, his work with FARE, as well as his recent award from the Southern Nevada Health District! You can see the link here: http://www.vegasmorningblend.com/videos/218401731.html
He also showed off the new top 8 allergen free cutlery kits that the South Point will be using at their restaurants to lessen any cross contamination risks.
Chef Keith also was kind enough to mention FARE, The Las Vegas Food Allergy Awareness Walk, and also the Food Allergen Bloggers Conference! Ok ok, so the name was wrong, but I can tell you we were not the only people letting out excited squeals when it was mentioned!
Chef Keith was a big reason why we chose the South Point as the host for this conference. The South Point has taken a fantastic proactive stance in catering to those with food allergies and adopting safe practices in their restaurants and food service. We want everyone to come knowing that we are all planning to make sure this is a huge, delicious, safe success!
Here’s the list from our attendee page… so far! Add yourself over there in the comments and of course since the conference is open to everyone, no worries if you don’t have a blog to include. Perhaps let us know your twitter handle if you have one so other attendees can get to know you before the conference.
